ABOUT US

Kelsey’s House Foundation was formed in 2023 by Zack and Hillary Pulliam for the purpose of providing a shared community for transitional and permanent residential housing to individuals who need a drug and alcohol-free environment. Like many in our community we have experienced the impact Substance Use Disorder (SUD) can have on a family and the level of support and grace needed with this life long illness. Hillary’s cousin Kelsey struggled with SUD and depended on supportive housing during her recovery journey.

There are many others who struggle in our community; having supportive housing can make a huge difference. Our purpose is to provide people in need safe and compassionate housing in Kelsey’s memory. Kelsey’s House is a place that holds countless stories of triumph and victory.

HER STORY

KELSEY

Kelsey struggled with Substance Use Disorder. She stayed in several sober living homes during her recovery process. These homes represented an important bridge in the recovery process affording Kelsey a safe, rules based environment to transition back into society.

The home’s environment provided elements that could not be provided in any other living environment: no nonsense rules, safety from outside influences, supporting others in the home and practicing healthy ways to avoid triggers.

Other requirements included involvement in a recovery program, finding a job and/or continued education.

Unfortunately 18 months after Kelsey left the sober house she had a relapse and passed away leaving behind her 10 month old son. Our hope is to continue Kelsey’s journey in a way that supports others on their journey. Where one candle was blown out, many more will burn on in her honor.

Never lose infinite hope.
